‘Scintilla’ brings glass crafting opposites together in an astounding new product. On one hand we see the highly industrialized technique of borosilicate inner extrusion, which when lit, causes the light to sparkle and scintillate due to its ribbed reflective surface. On the other hand we see a contrast with the outer traditionally mouth-blown shape – epitome of the piece’s domestic orientation – and the use of LED light within the lamps core providing a contemporary and industrialized approach.

El Santo Libre is a simple seat folded into shape using a flat piece of sturdy leather. The resulting shell, when fixed to its unusual metal base, appears left floating in the air. This unexpected take on the classic cantilever typology results in a spacious, comfortable seat complemented by a newly introduced footrest.
This year‘s edition incorporates a new palette of finishes, including a variety of furs and Kilim carpets.

Typology Armchair.
Material Powder coated steel base, genuine leather seat .

Serving Trolley

Designed by: Christophe de la Fontaine

‘Come As You Are’ is a sublte bar cart with reference to classic serving trolleys. By reducing the quantity of components to its essence, the three-dimensional use of the outer railing, which acts to envelop and unite the two overlapping serving surfaces, overcomes the soberness of this archetype.

Typology: bar cart
Dimensions: 75x35x85cm
Material: powder-coated steel
Colors: black/white, tempered glass panels:
smoke/bronze

Candlelights by Christophe de la Fontaine for Dante

Posted in Beau Marché, Lysestager by Beau Marché on April 12, 2013
The reminiscence of a ancient typology is a candle holder with reflector, made in ceramics. The candle is positioned in front of the mirror that reflects and doubles the emitted light. The division in single elements allows a table- and a wallversion.
The colours of the smooth glaze enhance the warmth of the candle light. Unfortunately Shining can‘t reflect its own shining beauty…

Typology Candlelight, wall- and tableversion.
Material Ceramics, steel, mirror.
Finish/ Colour Ceramic glazed in white, rose, salvia and light grey, mirror, powdercoated steel structure in anthracite.
Design Christophe de la Fontaine.
